Why Work With Us?
Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health is undergoing an exciting period of change. With NHS Foundation Trust status granted in 2008, and a new Chief Executive, it's a great time to join.
Foundation Trusts are a new type of NHS organisation. They are still part of the NHS and continue to deliver high-quality services meeting national standards, however, they have more freedom and are accountable to local people. The most important part of being an NHS Foundation Trust is its membership - drawn from people living in the communities served by the Trust, and its service users, their carers and our staff.
Mental health is a specialist area – and with over 91 million working days being lost to mental ill health in England each year, it is a challenging, varied and rewarding field.
The Trust employs more than 2,500 staff in a wide variety of disciplines including Clinical/Nursing, Marketing, ICT, Human Resources, Estates and Facilities and General Administration. Each of these plays an important role in helping us to maintain a caring and professional environment in which to look after the mental health needs of our local population.
With over 300 careers in the NHS, there is something for everybody – whatever your background…
