St Clement's Hospital consultation

A public consultation meeting on the redevelopment of St Clement’s Hospital is to be held on 5 and 6 September from 4pm to 8pm at The Hollies, St Clement’s Hospital in Ipswich. The plans on display will cover all aspects of the site development including traffic flows, new sporting amenities and open areas.

The site, now owned by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, had been previously considered for redevelopment in 2008 and this new plan incorporates the public feedback from that application that there was to be less housing on the site.

The St Clement’s Hospital site covers 25 acres of land and the development plans include:

  • residential development for up to 227 dwellings
  • the retention and conversion of the principal Victorian hospital buildings
  • community facilities including sports and open space provision
  • a local park with play facilities
